Coming up in 2025
RED!
From January - April, Lucy’s opera for young people RED! is on tour with Barefoot Opera across E Sussex, UK performing with Year 5 children at ten primary schools.
On March 30th RED! will also be performed by Royal Ballet & Opera at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London as part of their Family Day events with 120 performers from the ROH Young People Programme.
New Commission - Auckland Philharmonia
Lucy has been commissioned by the Auckland Philharmonia to arrange a mash-up of three iconic pop songs from Aotearoa for their community series in mid 2025.
This follows on from her successful commission Polka Dots co-devised with Ingrid Martin which featured at their Summer School in early 2025.

2024 Highlights
RED! - Auckland Philharmonia / NZOpera
2024 started with Lucy's opera being performed with the Auckland Philharmonia & NZOpera as part of AP's Summer School 2024.
Stroma - New Commission
Lucy wrote a new piece in opera this'd be an overture but it's not so it isn't for a 14-piece cross-genre concert featuring Wellington ensembles Stroma and The Jac. (Premiered February 2025)
Choirs Aotearoa - New Commission
Lucy was commissioned by Choirs Aotearoa for a new piece which premiered in October 2024.
Barefoot Opera - La Traviata
Lucy played bass in the 4-piece Barefoot Band on Barefoot Opera's SE England tour of Verdi's classic. This tour included a week at London's Grimeborn Festival.
Ruby Colley
Lucy performs regularly with Ruby - an artist who blends folk, field recordings, contemporary classical and live electronics.
The Seaview Project
With Jenny Miller (Barefoot Opera), Lucy supported and performed with The Seaview Choir at their Seaview's Got Talent and their annual Christmas Show.
The Sun Shall Rise
Lucy composed and performed in The Sun Shall Rise in June 2022. Produced by MSL Projects with lyrics by Rosanna Lowe, this song for community choir with opera soloists and a 3-piece band was performed in partnership with Barefoot Opera and sung (with audience participation of course) on the streets of Hastings, UK. There was a repeat performance in July 2023 as part of the St Leonards Festival.
This is part of The Wild Horn Fair, an ongoing larger project with MSL Projects, exploring creative ways of collaborating and exploring new emerging digital platforms including binaural sound, augmented reality and interactive live and recorded digital and audio performance.
Tête à Tête Festival
Lucy’s new sci-fi comedy opera Module 471 was showcased at TaT Festival in London in August 2022. With a libretto by James Sherwood featuring Sarah Dacey (Soprano) , Peter Wilcock (Baritone), Frank Moon (Electric Guitar) Ric Elsworth (Vibes & Kit) and Lucy on electric bass. Full opera coming soon in 2024 / 2025.

Barefoot Opera
Community Outreach
Lucy is involved with various community projects with Barefoot Opera. In February 2019 and 2021, she led the Barefoot Community Choir as part of the awesome Fat Tuesday celebrations.
With Barefoot Opera Lucy also works regularly with The Seaview Project Choir and various schools and community groups. She played bass in many workshops and the final show of Bloom Britannia, Barefoot Opera’s three-year long community opera project in 2021
